"Chronicles of a Demise" - my 4th appearance in Provincetown under Brenna Geffer's direction, this time alone with the audience in a tin-foil covered suite of the Harbor Hotel. A dramatic adaptation of an early Williams short story, a sad apostolic robot addresses "The Order" on the passing of their Saint.
"His earnest, powerful delivery would have been perfectly at home in an episode of The Twilight Zone." -Bess Rowan (medium.com 2023)

A L U S.
As Matt explores how to get along without Sophie he begins to cultivate a relationship with the device. ALUS, in fact, becomes quite helpful in his day-to-day life, but things come to a head when Matt reconnects with his ex-girlfriend and ALUS begins to wrestle with feelings it should not have.
The film explores the evolving way we as humans use relationships to meet our needs. What roles should the people we love play in our lives? How much can we expect from them? Do we really want a companion or are we much better off with an algorithm that gives us all the answers?

"Mr. Anthony's ferociously committed performance (paging Hollywood) was among the festival's finest."
-THE NEW YORK TIMES
"Chris Anthony gives his all to making clear the pain of the creative process, the ups and downs of genius, and the mania of working toward artistic perfection. His is a mature, complex, complete performance.
Anthony gives over to the passion, desperation, focus, madness, demons of creativity, and the unraveling of a creative powerhouse. Chris Anthony's performance is one of a creative powerhouse as well. He delivers a finely detailed, nuanced, likable, bold, detestable but lovable, crumbling while healing, madman.
The character's genius and the actor's genius complement one another to perfection. His is a performance that makes an audience want to stay seated, hoping for an act three."
-STAGEMAGAZINE.ORG
"The actors are game and capable, with Chris Anthony most impressive as the young lover. He projects a relaxed, sensual masculinity that actually calls to mind the role's original performer, Clark Gable (and that's a real compliment.)"
